Undergraduate Commencement
On Sunday, May 19, the Grand Theater at Shanghai’s BOCOM New Bund 31 Performing Arts Center was filled with an audience of supportive families and friends cheering on the Class of 2024 as they claimed their place in NYU Shanghai history. At the University's eighth commencement ceremony, over 400 graduates from 29 countries, including six study away students from NYU in New York and 243 Chinese students from 28 provinces across China, accepted NYU bachelor's degrees and NYU Shanghai diplomas—symbols of their perseverance, growth, and global connection.
Graduate Convocation
NYU Shanghai held its fifth Graduate Convocation on May 26 to celebrate the graduation of 140 PhD and Master’s degree candidates from eight programs: Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics, Doctor of Philosophy in Neural Science, Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Master of Arts in Interactive Media Arts (IMA), Master of Science in Data Analytics & Business Computing (MSDABC), Master of Science in Quantitative Finance (MSQF) , Master of Science in Marketing and Retail Science (MSMRS), and Master of Science in Organization Management and Strategy (MSOMS). 300 family members and friends attended the convocation in person, in addition to those around the globe who watched via livestream, as 127 students walked across the stage in NYU Shanghai’s New Bund Campus auditorium to receive their degrees in person, and 13 graduates participated remotely.
