How to Attend the Ceremony

On Sunday, May 28, 2017, the NYU Shanghai community will join together at the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center in Pudong, Shanghai, to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2017.

All students, faculty and guests MUST have a ticket to attend the event. Make sure you reserve yours in good time!

Please note all tickets are free of charge, however we regret that children under the age of 7 will not be admitted to the Hall.

Graduate Tickets

All seniors who are eligible to graduate, or will be close to graduating, in May 2017 will automatically receive a graduate ticket to walk in the ceremony.

Guest Tickets

The opportunity to apply for up to four guaranteed guest tickets has now closed.

A lottery to allocate extra tickets was held on December 19. All students who applied for additional tickets before the deadline will have received an email notifying whether or not their request was successful.

At this time, we do not have additional tickets that we can allocate until all RSVPs are received from other guests to the ceremony. All students still needing extra guest tickets have been placed on a waiting list, with priority given to those who applied before December 19. If you no longer require any of your tickets, please notify as soon as possible so your seats can be reallocated.

If you have additional guests that do not have tickets to enter the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, they will still be able to see you at a special live screening set up in the Academic Building.

The event will also be streamed live on this website for family and friends at home.

Faculty Tickets

Faculty will receive special information about attire and seating via direct email.

Ticket Collection

Please note final ticket allocation and collection information will be sent by email closer to the event. All student and guest tickets will be available to collect from Student Life when ticket collection opens. Graduating students must present their student identification (Student ID card/Net ID number) to receive their graduate and guest tickets.

Disability seating sections have been reserved for people in wheelchairs or with mobility impairment. If you or any of your guests require accessible seating or special assistance at the ceremony, please inform when you request your tickets.
