Commencement Ceremony

On May 23, 2018, NYU Shanghai will honor the graduating class of 2018 at the university’s Second Commencement Exercises. All graduates will walk across the commencement stage at the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center and receive their diplomas from the Chancellor. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime event in the lives of graduates and parents alike – an experience not to be missed.

How to Attend the Ceremony

Graduating students are automatically reserved a seat at the commencement ceremony. In addition, they are able to order up to four guaranteed Family Tickets at the start of the spring semester. Additional Family Tickets can be requested at the same time, and will be allocated in a ballot after all ticket orders are received. Students will be notified by email in March of their total Family Ticket allocation.

All guests MUST have a ticket to attend the commencement ceremony. Please note that the event is not suitable for young children and those under the age of seven will not be allowed in the hall.

Graduates will be invited to collect their Family Tickets on campus a week before the ceremony. Tickets will not be mailed. All tickets are free of charge.
